Issues to Consider During a Recession or Market Correction

 

The market continues its rollercoaster ride this year as inflation remains high. Even though the economy posted two straight quarters of negative GDP growth, the government maintains that the US is not in a recession. At least not yet.

Despite all the uncertainty and media noise, there are plenty of planning and investment opportunities to make lemonade out of lemons.

What should you do during a market downturn or potential recession?

If you’re gainfully employed and invested in a low-cost, diversified portfolio for the long term, then doing nothing is likely in your best interest!

That said, it does’t hurt to take a look at your overall financial health during times of uncertainty, if for nothing else, to remain assured that everything will be okay.
